The Jubilate Choir is a non-profit community choir comprised of over 70 volunteer singers from the Benton, Bloomsburg, Danville, and surrounding communities. The choir presents annual Christmas concerts open to the public at no charge during the second weekend of December in Bloomsburg, PA. The choir is accompanied by a 25-piece chamber orchestra.
Our Director
Alan Hack is a 2007 graduate of Susquehanna University , Selinsgrove , PA. While in college, Alan studied under the directions of Dr. Holly Roadfeldt-O'Riordan, piano and Dr. Susan Hegberg, organ. Alan holds a degree in Mathematics and Secondary Education along with a minor in Music Performance and a master's degree in Educational Leadership from Wilkes University. He recently completed his Doctorate in Educational Leadership at Wilkes University. Alan is currently an Assistant Principal at Warrior Run Middle School in Turbotville, PA. Alan has had the opportunity to perform with the Bloomsburg University Chamber Orchestra in 2007, 2009 (Haydn Organ Concerto), 2010 (Brandburg Concerto No. 2 - harpsichord), 2012, 2013 and 2014 (Bloch Piano Concerto). He has served as the Director of Music and Organist at St. Matthew Lutheran Church since April 2005 where he directs the Sanctuary Choir and Handbell Choir. Alan also directs the Jubilate Orchestra and the community handbell choir. Alan is a member of the American Guild of Organists and American Guild of English Handbell Ringers, where he serves on the board as the Pennsylvania State Representative.
